RGGROVAL OF CONTRACT BETWEEN KERR COUNTY
AND LRURINDR BOYD
On this day the 9th day of November^, 1998 upon motion made by
Commissioner Let z, seconded by Commissioner- Oehler, the Cour^t
unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to approve contract
between N.er^r County and Laur-inda Boyd to act as booking agent
at the ag-barn facilities and authorize the County Judge to
sign same.

Contract between Kerr County and Laurinda Boyd to act as booking agent at the ag-barn
facilities. A copy of the contract is included in your packet. Tom Pollazd has seen the
contract and approves as to form.

Agreement Term: October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999.
Consideration: Four Hundred Seventy-five and no/100ths Dollars ($475.00) per calendar month,
during the agreement term, less federal deductions and retirement benefits, plus an
additional Fourteen Hundred and no/100ths Dollazs ($1,400.00) per year ($116.66
per month) during the agreement term for the use by `Boyd" for communication and
auto expenses, payable in equal payment on the Fifteenth (15a') day and last day of
each and every month during the agreement term hereof. If the fifteenth or last day
of any month falls on Saturday or Sunday, the semi-monthly payment shall be paid
on the preceding Friday. If the Fifteenth (15s') day or the last day of the month falls
on a legal holiday as designated by Kerr County, said consideration due shall be paid
on the last working day preceding the said holiday.
Agreement: Boyd agrees to perform the duties of event coordinator for the Hill Country Youth
Exhibition Center, Kerr County, Texas (HCYEC) during the term of this agreement.
`Boyd's" duties shall include but not limited to the following:
1. Develop and provide to the Kerr County Commissioners' Court, for
approval, a written fee schedule and a written policy and procedures of the
HCYEC, which shall be submitted to the said Commissioners' Court no later
than November 1, 1998; and
2. Maintain a calendar setting forth all future events that aze occurring in or
about the HCYEC and furnish a photocopy of same to the Kerr County
Commissioners' Court on or before the first (1°`) day of each and every
month; and
3. Promote and show HCYEC facility to prospective Lessees; serve as the
booking agent for all activities of the HCYEC facility and be available to
show the facility to prospective lessees; and
4. Negotiate leases with written contracts and to collect all fees due by and
through said contracts concerning events at HCYEC and see that booked
events have an approved insurance plan or is within the Kerr County
insurance policies; and
5. Coordinate and set up all HCYEC events including but not limited to:
A. Event layout including but not limited to:
1. Stall, chair and table rental; and
2. Verifying and obtaining insurance requirements; and
3. Verify and obtain written documentation confirming all liquor
license requirements, if any.
6. Coordinate with Kerr County Maintenance Department and/or other county
employees/agents for the setup and overall event coordination of all events
at the HCYEC; and
7. Keep the Kerr County Commissioners' Court and the County Maintenance
Department advised of facility needs at the HCYEC; and
8. To assist with procuring grants and donations; and
9. Be available for additional duties on an "as needed" basis; and
10. The average hours for this agreement should not exceed eighty (80) hours
per month; and
11. Should the hours of Boyd increase substantially, the compensation would be
open for review by Boyd and the Kerr County Commissioners' Court.
Termination: This agreement terminates on the last day of September, A.D., 1999, unless renewed
and extended by the parties, and unless sooner terminated.
Early Termination: This agreement may be terminated by either parry upon written notification to the
other party of at least thirty (30) days advance notice of the effective date of
termination unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Extension: This agreement may be extended from time to time but only by unanimous written
agreement of all parties hereto.
