MOONEY AIRCRAFT Greetings! 630 896 1175 P.01 Recently, Don Kendrick, Glenn Brown and I met with Paul Dopp, Chairman of the Board of Mooney Aircraft regarding several concerns Mr. Dopp has at the plant. I suggested to Mr. Dopp that a Task Force be appointed to inGude representatives of the City of Kerrville, Kerr County, Kerr Economic Development Foundation and Economic Improvement Corporation to review his concems and make recommendations from that point. I think this is a fair way to approach the cngoing requests from Mooney Aircraft - it will allow us to determine what needs, if any, should be met by the community. One of the greatest responsibilities of a good economic development program is working with the existing industries to ensure their economic stability. It is much easier to retain and assist an industry in expansion than it is to attract a new one to replace one that is lost. Please let me know if you concur about fom'ling this Task Force. The City has appointee `~ayor Low and Bill McCrae (he is the airport council repj. It is my hope that we can identify the other members ASAP and let them get to work immediately, Thank You! cc: Don Kendrick Glenn Brown ~~i~QA-J~i~m - tt-z3~~~ C ~; ~ ~- ~bR °~ ~'~~ `~ ~y(~lnSLs '~ ~J~~~aa~ S Kerr Economic Davelopmcnl Fouadatioa ~f ~ (',.2~ '~ /'U 1700 Sidney Baker, Sle. l00 ]\,~y-/~.e-.l r%1\ - Karrvdla, T":".78028 1 210!89&1157 • FAX 210/8961175 Finail: kemc~liccom TOTRL P.01
