County, for^ the months of October^, Novem- ber^ and December 1997. The investments for the g1_~arter followed the investment strategies of the Ker^r^ County Investment Policy. Funds wer^e invested with preser^vation and safety of pr^incipal being the foremost objective. An operating balance was kept at all times to meet the cash flow needs in the depositor^y bank, drawing inter^est under^ the depository contr^act. Surplus funds were invested in securities approved ~_tnder the county investment policy. Next quay^ter^ will reflect tax collection season ther^efor^e an investment committee meeting will be schedl_~led in order to deter^mine the best investment strategy.
