Jennie Motheral presented the Commissioners' Co~.ir-t and County
Judge with a Certificate of Rppreciation for their assistance
in the 1997 Christmas Lighting and the 1998 4th of July
Celebration.
Johnny Tisdale, Maintenance Supervisor-, was presented with a
Certificate of Appreciation for- his assistance in the 1997
Christmas Lighting.

Item No. ^c. 10 Update of the Department of Criminal Justice
contract for State Prisoners. (County Judge)
Judge Denson addressed Court on above agenda item. R letter-
was received from the Texas Department of Justice, David
McNutt, stating the Department was unable to amend the
original contract to include our modifications. It was
r-ecommended 6y Commissioner- Letz not to sign the contr-act and
to invoice the State for out expenses. It was agreed not to
sign the Contract with the Texas Department of Justice until
further information could be obtained from the Sher-iff.
Item No. 0.11 Hear- status repor-t on state of Maintenance
Department from Supervisor. (Co~.inty Judge)
Johnny Tisdale, Maintenance S~.ipervisor, gave written report
to the Commissioners' on productivity. It was also addressed
in Court from Commissioner Baldwin that a Cour-t Order- was
already established that work or-der be filed out and turned
into the Maintenance Office and that the County needed to
start following this Court Order.

Commissioner Letz addressed Cour-t on the Courthouse
r-enovations. He spoke with Mike Walker and he is waiting to
get with the Sheriff to approve the security of new
courtrooms. Rt the next meeting he will present the final
drawings for approval and there is some additional office
space with new plans. The demolition specs will be available
at the next Commissioner-s' Court meeting.
