Conswction is es[imnted to begin in kte July or early August and should mke approxirtukly eighteen (18) months to complete. TmffC on U$ 83 will be cartied on a detour through the construction zone. Due to change in grade at the US 83/SH 39 intetseclion to improve safety, SH 39 will be closed for approximately one (1) month. After that period, traffic will b< certied through SH 39 to US 83 by smndard consWtlian tratrc signing. Attached is a layout of the detour that wiB be in pkce during the impmvemenrs to tfiis intetsecfion. Tfie teng[h of detour is approximately sixty-three (63) miles. It is anncipakd this detour will have sonw impact on Emergency Services, Postal Services u well as school bus routes. II is a policy of this agency to obmin concurrence with a di erect public entities concerning the detour.
