Constmction is estimated to begin in late July or eazly August and should take approximately eighteen (18) months to complete. Traffic on US 83 will be carried on a detour through the construction zone. Due to change in grade at the US 83/SH 39 intersection to improve safety, SH 39 will be closed for approximately one (1) month. After that period, traffic will be carried through SH 39 to US 83 by standazd constmction traffic signing. Attached is a layout of the detour that will be in place during the improvements to this intersection. The length of detour is approximately sixty-three (63) miles. It is anticipated this detour will have some impact on Emergency Services, Postal Services as well as school bus routes. It is a policy of this agency to obtain concurrence with the different public entities concerning the detour. Please review the detour location and sign and return the attached sheet giving your concurrence with the above described conditions.
