AGENDA REQUEST RULES FOR COMMISSIONERS' COURT

All requests shall be approved by the County Judge and/or a Commissioner (by
initialing or signature) before being placed on the official agenda.
2. Agenda requests shall be completely filled in, including the approximate length of time
the presentation will take and a brief summary of the subject to be discussed. All
back-up material must accompany the agenda request.
3. All agenda requests shall have sufficient back-up information attached to enable the
Commissioners' Court to study and understand the issue prior to the meeting date. If
the Commissioners' Court believes additional back-up material should have been
included to fully understand the issue, the agenda item may be tabled until such time
as adequate back-up is provided. Up-dated or supplemental back-up information shall
not be accepted after the cut-off time.
4. Agenda requests involving specific problems in a precinct (i.e., roads, septic, platting,
subdivisions, etc.) shall be initialed and approved by the applicable precinct
commissioner before being placed on the official agenda.
5. No supplemental agenda items will be accepted except under the Emergency Meeting
requirement. (Notice of Emergency Meeting or Emergency Addition to Agenda:... (b)
An emergency or an urgent public necessity exists only if immediate action is required
of a governmental body because of : (1} an imminent threat to public health and
safety; or (2) a reasonably unforeseeable situation...TTTLE 5, CHAPTER 551,
GOVERNMENT CODE AND TITLE 5, CHAPTER 552, GOVERNMENT CODE.)
All supplemental or emergency requests must be signed by the County Judge.
6. Agenda Request cut-off time shall be Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. prior to a Monday
Meeting. Items not turned in by this time will be placed on the agenda of the next
regular scheduled Commissioners' Court Meeting unless approved by the County
Judge.
