RESOLUTION RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS BEFORE THE ~ ~: COMMISSIONER'S COURT SAFETY DATE: January 25. 1999 The Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, meeting in regular session on the 25 day of January, 19 99, among other proceedings considered the following resolution: WHEREAS, the County Judge, County Sheriff, County Commissioners and other County officials are concerned with Ure safety of employees and the public; and WHEREAS, these safety efforts have a direct and positive impact on the cost of operations and employee morale for Kerr County; and WHEREAS, the County can directly save approximately 59,273 on Workers' Compensation costs in 1999 by implementing a comprehensive accident prevention plan; and WHEREAS, implementation of this plan should minimize umrecessary accidents and control Workers' Compensation costs for the firture; and WHEREAS, the County can utilize the free services of the safety staff of the Te41s Association of Counties to assist in the implementation of such a plan, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, drat the Kerr County Commissioners' Court, Kerr County. Texas. in joint resolution with the County Sheriff; hereby proclaim their support on behalf of the County to implement an effective accident prevention plan in agreement with the Texas Association of Counties. and the Commissioners' Court hereby prevails upon and challenges other elected and appointed County officials to support this s<~Cety initiative, and work in a cooperative effort to develop and implement these accident prevention plans.
