Kerr County Conunissioners' Court
~ Special Meeting 1-25-99
In the 1920s the Schreiner family formed a trust for the purpose of maintaining and improving county
roads in parts of Kerr County. !n later years Chas. Schreiner Bank was named by court decree as trustee
of the trust. Today Nationsbank is trustee through its purchase of Chas. Schreiner Bank. The current
principal value of the trust is approximately $182,OW; last year Ken: County received $8,SIH1 in revenue
from the trust. The amount the county received was net after a trust fee of $2,6117.
1 have contacted the trust department of our depository about their fee schedule for this type trust; they
have committed to .5 /o of the principal or approximately $912 per year.
For the convenience of having the tnrst locally and saving some dollars, I suggest that the court consider
having our civil attorney review the trust agreement and give the court direction as to the procedures
necessary to transfer the trustee and estimate any related cost.
