County Judge 8~ Commissioners,
I have visited with Richard Slagel, Personnel Specialist from Texas
Association of Counties, in regards to our personnel policies. I have
several recommendations on revisions which I feel would benefit not
only the county, but the employees as well. Mr. Slagel has also made ',
a few recommendations.
The following are the steps I would like to proceed with:
1.) make revisions to current policy;
2.) send a draft copy to all elected officials and
department heads;
3.) hold a workshop with elected officials and department
heads and get their input;
4.) make further revisions if necessary;
5.) send revised copy to Richard Slagel for his input;
6.) have the Court adopt revised policy.
