RESOLUTION CONGRRTULATING
THE 1999 TIVY HIGH SCHOOL MOCK TRIAL TEAM
On this the ~~nd day of Mar^ch 1999, upon motion made by
Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Griffin,
~..e ~:o_:^i unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to approve ~
the Resolution congratulating The 1999 Tivy Nigh School Mock
Trial Team:
RESOLUTION
"Whereas, since forming a Mock Trial Team in 1991, the Tivy
High School Mock Triai Team has advanced to the Texas State
Championship in eight out of nine years; and Whereas, the 1999
Tivy High School Mock Trial Team repeated as the Texas State
Championship Mock Trial Team; and Whereas, Tivy High School is
only the third school to repeat as State Champions; and
Whereas, Tivy High School is the only 4-A high school to win
the Texas State Championship; and Whereas, Tivy High School is
the only high school of any size to finish in the top three
for^ three consecutive years; and Whereas, the 1999 Tivy High
School Mock Trial Team is comprised of Mollie Ables, Justin
Barbour, Allison Brown, David Denton, Emily Crozier, Katie
Sweeten, Rachel Mehendale, Martha Graham, Alexis Lorick, and
Keith Henneke; and Whereas, the faculty adviser for the Tivy

High School Mock Trial Team is Hobbie Murray and the attorney
advisers include Judge Steve Ables, Judge Karl Rrohl, David
Jackson, Deith Williams, Freston Douglass, Hruce Curry, and
Lucy Cavazos;
"Now, therefore, 6e it resolved by the Kerr• County
Commissioners Cour^t that the Commissioners Court congratulates
and commends the 1999 Tivy High School Mock Trial Team on its
State Championship, and the Commissioners Court wishes the
1999 Tivy High School Mock Trial Team the best of luck at the
National Mock Trial Championships to be held in St. Louis,
Missouri, on May 7-8, 1999."
