The implementation and operation of an effective and effideM 911 response system is one of the most critical services provided to the dmens of Kerr County After years of taorpayer funding there are still several major elements of the initial operatlonal rapability of the system that have not been completed. Moreover, if there is a dear~ut plan as to how and vlfien ~ initial system will be completed, it is not apparent to the public. or to Commissioners' Court. To provide the appropriate fidudary oversight by the Commissioners' Court I request that the 911 Board provide a morrthty status briefing to the Court beginning wiath the meeting scheduled on Monday, March 22, 1999 and continuing each month thereafter on the 4 Monday court session' This update can be concise and to the point, covering the major milestones remaining foratinitial operatic capability, schedules for reaching these milestones, and arty other appropri prog information. Adequate time will be provided for the members of the cot,rt to seek darification of Issues and answers to questions.
