Box 149217 Austin, Texan 78714-9217 RE: Kerr County Road InveMOry Project Dear Mr. Luedecke, Your letter and accompanying documents to our Cotmty Judge, Fred Henneke dated March 29, 1999, were forwarded to the Road & Bridge Department and we were pleax to hear that you have completed the initial inventory started in January 1996. You asked that we review the data for completeness and accuracy and notify your office within 30 days if we tbtmd any discrepancies. As you can see by the date of this letter, we have had only a few days fbr our initial review, but we have found MANY in^~.,~~.cies. The geographical layout and the urban population of our county probably made it more difficuh for your represerttative J. David Cook and the contractors to inventory our roads accurately in 1996 and there have been many changes since that time. Before we ask that you send a represetttative to visit our office to review the corrections as you suggested, we need more time to review tht material. Since h took your department over 3 years to complete the initial inventory you must realize it will take us many hours to do a complete review of the mattria] you xnt. Our department like all government entities route budget for it's time. We will need approval from our Commissioners Court to budget overtime hours to complete this task before you submit to the State Comptroller's Office or the TxDO'Ca Vehicle Thles and Registrations Division an inacourata number.
