SUBJECT STATEMENT: The lightingsystems which were installed and strung
four (4) years ago are inadequate and of varieties which cause excessive re-
quirements forreplacement and service. The intemrption ofelectric current
due to bulb burn-outs and disruption ofthe effects ofthe Christmas lighting are
major concerns ofpersons involved in theproject.
Kerr County deserves better, more reliable, less r7sky installation and
servicing than the system of the past few years.
PROPOSED: Thepurchase ofl4gauge wire and long-life bulbs and free year
replacementguarantee ofbasic elements, with professional installation ofthe
CourtHouse Units;
The products proposed by the supplier are American made (non "for-
eign) and will have a longer, more effective life span. Christmas lighting of
court Houses is an investment which provides attractions for enjoyment; his-
torical, religious importance and economic enhancement.
FINANCIAL REQUEST: The Project Committee respectfullyrequests a grant
in the range of$S, 000 - $10, 000. Other entities and individual supporters are
also being in vited to participate in this important, exciting venture. Yourkind
consideration and financial assistance will be a bell -weather event ofutmost
significance.
