SERVICE CONTRACT THE STATE OF TEXAS KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THE COUNTY OF KERB The Texas Code of Criminal Procedure requires that drug offenders complete a Drug Offender Educational Program as a condition precedent to reinstatement of the drug offenders driver's license. Kerr County ("County") is required to offer such a program. Community Supervision and Correction Department ("CSCD") has certain monies in its budget which aze set aside to finance a Drug Offender Education Program. County desires to offer said Drug Offender Education. County and the CSCD agree as follows: 1. County will staff, train, keep trained and operate the Drug Offender Education Program in Kerr County, Texas; and 2. Instructors will be employed by county to offer said program; and 3. CSCD will reimburse County for the expenses of the program on a monthly basis; provided, however, that CSCD shall not be liable to pay more than $24,011.00 per fiscal year; and 4. This contract and the Drug Offender Education Program was effective initially September 1, 1995, for the period oftime through August 31, 1995, and was renewed by the parties effective September 1, 1996, September 1, 1997, again on September 1, 1998, and is hereby again renewed for the period September 1, 1999 through August 31, 2000. 5. This contract may be canceled at any time by either party giving thirty (30) days advance notice given to the other party.
