Box 294387 Kerrville, TX 78029 (830) 895-5223 Judge Fred Henneke Kerr County Judge Kerr County Commisioner's Court 700 Main St Kerrville, TX 78028 RE: Kerr Central Appraisal District Board of Director's Nominations Dear Judge Fred Henneke; The terms of the current Directors of the Kerr Central Appraisal District will expire on December 31, 1999. Directors are nominated by the governing bodies of voting taxing units within the appraisal district. The Kerr CAD Board of Directors has five positions, it is your entity's duty to nominate members that you feel will represent your entity and the taxpayers of Kerr County. The procedure for selecting board members is as follows; The chief appraiser calculates the number of votes that an entity receives based on its prior year tax levy (the larger the levy the more votes). The chief appraiser notifies the entities of the number of votes it may cast. The Kerr County Commisioner's Court has 932 votes. Each voting entity can nominate up to five candidates for the positions. Your nominees must be submitted to the Kerr Central Appraisal District by November 19, 1999. The chief appraiser prepares a ballot of nominees and submits it to the er.±ities by November 23, 1999. Each voting entity must then notify Kerr CAD by December 23, 1999, after casting their allotted votes for one or all candidates by written resolution. The chief appraiser will then notify the entities of the outcome. If you should have any questions on the process, or qualifications of members, please do not hesitate to contact this office.
