EXTENSION ACTIVITY REPORT TO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT Miles traveled 611 COMMISSIONER'S COURT REPORT -December. 2000 1 Judged Winter Garden Pecan Show in Hondo 2 Helped Kerr County 4Hers prepare meat goat projects for Legends Meat Goat Prospect Show in Kerrville, 9 4Hers attended 4-6 South Texas Regional Pecan Show held in Kerrville at the River Hills Mall. The Kerr County Horticulture Committee was very active in the organization and running of the show. The Horticulture committee held a meeting with 9 in attendance. 6-9 Traveled to Albuquerque, NM to attend the NACAA Winter Board Meeting in preparation for the annual meeting in August, 2001. Holland is in charge of all sponsorship for NACAA awards and scholarship programs for 2001. 13 Met with Livestock/Range Committee members to complete the annual increment report. Livestock/Range Committee meeting with 6 in attendance. 18 Met with Ag Science teachers and Charlie Bierschwale of Back 40 supply to initiate the rules and regulations for the Herdsman Award to be given at the HCDJLS to the outstanding 4H club animal exhibit. 19 Met with Kerr County Fair Board to go over the 2000 Kerr county Fair and discuss plans for next year's 4H/FFA animal participation. The Extension Office was in charge of all livestock judging activities and will continue to do that next year. 20 Kerr County Extension Program Council committee meeting with 10 members present. They met at the YO Ranch Hotel to discuss plans for the annual meeting to be held on January 29'". Members also agreed on the program and food to be provided by the executive board of the Extension Program Council. 20 CEA Holland and 4H and Youth Coordinator Boyd made project visits to all 4H livestock exhibitors in the Center Point, Comfort and Camp Verde areas. Holland took 4H livestock leaders around to attend to 4Hers. These 4Hers were told how to feed and manage their animals for the next two weeks prior to livestock season. 21 CEA Holland and 4H and Youth Coordinator Boyd made project visits to all 4H livestock exhibitors in the West Kerr Co. and Hunt areas. These 4Hers were told how to feed and manage their animals for the next two weeks prior to livestock season. 30 A showmanship clinic was held for new 4H members to learn more about showmanship and what needs to be done at the livestock show in preparation for the sale. This activity was sponsored by the Center Point 4H Club.
