AUTHORIZE EACH COMMISSIONER AND COUNTY JUDGE TO
APPOINT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO REDISTRICTING ADVISORY

On this the 12th day of February 2001, upon motion made by
Commissioner Griffin, seconded by Commissioner Williams, the
Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to authorize 
County Commissioner and the County Judge to appoint one
HIgh School student to the Citizens Advisory Committee
on redistricting.

Back-up for Student Appointment
Several people have commented that this Citizen's Advisory Committee on Redistricting
would be a great opportunity to involve our young leaders in the governmental process.
Even though I am reluctant to expand the Committee by 5 persons, I agree that it is an
educational opportunity that should be considered.
