Work involves operating automated offices in either astand-alone, network, and mainframe environments. Provides training to Kerr County staff in the implementation and use of automated systems. Implements and maintains the Kerr County website and acts as its webmaster. May supervise and train systems support staff. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (This list is intended to be illustrative and does not represent an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.): Uses several different software package applications which perform computations or arithmetic and logic operations to arrange, sort, or manipulate data. Develops and makes presentations and briefings for employee training sessions. Develops and publishes system operations procedures. May coordinate with other offices or agencies concerning the implementation of new systems, administration of Kerr County policies and procedures, and scheduling of technical support activities. May supervise and train systems support staff. May be responsible for the management of a local area network. Performs related work as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May supervise others in implementing information systems hardware, software, and user procedures.
