In Change Order No. 6, the Contractor priced new security doors for the Men's Holding Cell doors to be switched so the swing of the doors would meet the Texas Jail Commission requirements. The Contractor re-used the existing doors and did not install new doors. Credit $ (1,416.00) 2. In Change Order No. 4, the Contractor was drrected to move the railings in both the new courtrooms approximately 3 feet. Contractor priced new top railings for each. However, existing railings were re- used which required more holes to be filled and fmished. Credit (400.00) 3. During the masonry work on the west wall of the Annex, a strip or part of the control joint was lefr out of the wall. Brick was laid before it was discovered that the wall flashing was omitted, and it could not be installed after the brick was in place. Credit (600.00) 4. Throughout the new toilet rooms and other areas where sheet vinyl flooring was installed, the Contractor provided non- acceptable joints in the vinyl trim and the vinyl cove base, which will be a futwe maintenance problem. Credit (400.00) 5. Four of the dazk brick (#2) panels, two on each end of the west wall of the annex building, were lefr out of the masonry work. Credit (600.00) 6. The Construction Documents call for a large pecan tree to be removed at the northeast comer of the old courthouse building. This tree was not removed at the instmction of the Owner. Credit (150.00) 7. Abandoned piping and plaster ceiling above the ceiling of the Second Floor of the Courthouse and piping above the ceiling of the First Floor Annex were not removed as indicated. Contractor will furnish mazking paint to the County Maintenance Director for his mazking of the abandoned piping. Credit (100.00) 8. Contractor's painting of handrails and other previously painted materials. Credit (180.00) 9. Carpet is damaged at the fire hose cabinet in Corridor 6. Credit (200.00} 10. The vinyl wall covering in Men land Women 1 public toilet rooms (second floor, Annex) was poorly installed and cannot be improved upon without removing and reapplying new vinyl wall covering. The double entrance doors and/or frames to Courtroom 2 (Door No. 54) appeaz to be warped, causing problems achieving seal for sound or be adequate for fire doors. Credit (200.00) 13.
