CITY OF KERRVILLE, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 147 2001 COMMISSIONERS COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. JOINT RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AVIATION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDING FOR AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS AT KERRVILLE/KERR COUNTY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT WHEREAS, the City of Kerrville and County of Kerr intend to make certain improvements to the Kenville/Kerr County Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, the project is generally described as follows: engineering and construction services to overlay and mark Runway 12-30; expand apron; relocate portion of airport entrance road; install erosion sedimentation controls and acquire land for Runway Safety Area Runway 12; and WHEREAS, the City of Kerrville and County of Kerr intend to request financial assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") for these improvements; and WHEREAS, total project cost are estimated to be $3,435,000.00, and the City of Kerrville and County of Kerr will be responsible for 10% of the total project costs currently estimated to be $343,500.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, KERR COUNTY, TEXAS AND COUNTY OF KERR: SECTION ONE. That the City Manager for the City of Kerrville is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Kerrville ("City") and Kerr County ("County"), as the owners of the Airport, at the appropriate time, all contracts and agreements with the State of Texas, represented by the Texas Department of Transportation, and such other parties as shall be necessary and appropriate for the implementation of the above-described improvements to the Airport. SECTION TWO. That City and County have made local funds available to meet 10% of project expenditures during Fiscal Year 2001-02, which are estimated to be up to $95,ROO.OQ, and will make reasonable efforts to make local funds available to meet 10% of project expenditures during Fiscal Year 2002-03, which are estimated to be $247,700.00, subject to City and County's constitutional and statutory requirements with respect to adopting a budget for expenditures to be made with current funds then available for such purposes. SECTION THREE. That City and County hereby name TxDOT as their agent for the propose of applying for, receiving and disbursing all funds for the improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary For the implementation of these improvements. SECTION FOUR. That the following people shall serve as the committee for recommending the person or firm to provide engineering services related to the above referenced improvements: Ruth Priest Megan Caffall Franklin Johnston Stephen Drane Tom Moser which committee shall be authorized to develop selection criteria, review qualifications and proposals of candidate firms, conduct interviews, and make recommendations to City, County, and/or TxDOT regarding the person or firm to be selected.
