Asset Capitalization Policy
October I, 2001
Assets with value of $1,000 and over will be included on the fixed asset inventory at cost
and will be depreciated. Purchase of assets in this category will be recorded in "Capital
Outlay".
Assets with value of $300 or more and under $1,000 will be included on the fixed asset
inventory at no cost and not subject to depreciation. Including these assets will be for
control purposes and insurance valuation. Purchase ofassets in this category will be
recorded as "Miscellaneous Equipment".
Assets with value ofunder $300 wilt not be inchtded in inventory. Purchase of these
- assets will also be recorded as "Miscellaneous Equipment".
