Background for Agenda Item There currently exists a vacancy on the Butt-Holdsworth Library Advisory Boazd, and it is Kerr County's turn to submit a nominee for this position. John Mullins, 128 St. Andrews Loop, Kerrville, is a long-time supporter of the Butt-Holdsworth Library. He has been along-time member of the "Friends of the Library," and preceeded Joe Benham as president of that group. We are all aware of the many contributions of the "Friends" through the years. The most recent being their efforts in raising funds for the purchase of the property next to the library for fixture use. The current composition of the Advisory Board is good, well intentioned, and eager to make our library even better than it is ...particularly Mazgazet Brown and Gerald Witt, and another county appointment of this caliber would be a welcome addition. In my opinion, we would be hazd pressed to find another individual in Ken County who has a greater love for the &brary, or who has worked harder for its improvement. WHW
