RE: Resignation from Kerr 911 Boazd of Directors
Judge Henneke and Kerr County Commissioners' Court:
I, W.R. "Rusty" Hierholzer, hereby, respectfully submit my resignation from the Kerr
911 Boazd of Directors. I feel that I have become ineffective as a boazd member due to
the fact that my beliefs and values differ from what appeaz to be those of the majority of
my fellow boazd members and the Executive Director.
I further feel that a potential conflict of interest could azise during the process of
negotiating a centralized dispatch, due to addressing the position of Sheriff and being a
911 Boazd Member at the same time.
The citizens of Kerr County elected me to be Sheriff, and my commitment must be and is
to the Ken County Sheriff s Department, and providing professional and quality law
enforcement to the citizens.
I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to you and the Commissioners' Court
for giving me the opportunity to serve 911.
This resignation will become effective March 1, 2002.
