Tmtii2 >~~{l~Lt`-~ ti Effective August 4, 2000 through August 3, 2002, the Department, as defined by the contract referenced above, through the Texas Community Development Program (TCDP), contracted with Kerr County for Program Year 2000 Colonia Planning Funds for the development of a Kerr County Colonia Comprehensive Plan. Kerr County submitted its request to administratively close the contract by letter of July 22, 2002 that included the county's final request for reimbursement of $98,000. Documentation on file indicates that the county is in possession of all contracted products and is pleased with all proceedings regarding preparation of a Colonia Plan for Kerr County Colonia areas. Under your authorily, Kerr County submitted its request for reimbursement totaling $98,000 and certified that the services rendered and planning reports received correspond in every particular way with the contract referenced above. The reques4 for reimbursement represents the grant owed for planning activities completed by Kerr County with the assistance of GrantWorks, Inc. There is no local cash match commitment required by the contract. Reimbursement is recommended based on the county's certifications of the contract's completion and your letter of July 22, 2002 certifying contract compliance. Reimbursement allowed under the contract does not constitute an agreement of the Department with the substance and findings of the planning documents. With processing of the county's final request for reimbursement, TCDP Contract No. 720135 is considered administratively closed subject to the right to recover funds or questioned costs based upon findings of the Single Audit and final review by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Please be aware of county responsibilities under Section 20, Audit, to maintain project files for a minimum of three years past the date of official project closing issued by the Office of Rural Community Affairs audit staff.
