VIOLATION 4.6 PARKING 8 PASSENGER LOADING ZONES 4.6.4 Signage Each accessible parking space shall be designated as reserved by a vertically mounted or suspended sign showing the symbol of accessibility (see 4.30.7). Spaces complying with 4.1.2(5)(b) shall have an additional sign "Van-Accessible" mounted below the symbol of accessibility. Characters and symbols on such signs shall be located 60" (1525 mm) minimum above the ground, floor, or paving Surface so they cannot be obscured by a vehicle parked in the space. Signs must be raised to the min. 60" above the ground. 4.8.5 Passenger Loading Zones Passenger loading zones shall provide an access aisle at least 60 in (1525 mm) wide and 20 ft (240 in) (6100 mm) long adjacent and parallel to the vehiGe pull-up space Passenger loading zones were not marked. Parking spaces ~ loading zones need to be marked. VIOLATION 4.7 CURB RAMPS 4.7.2 Slope Slopes of curb ramps shall comply with 4.8.2. The slope shall be measured as shown in Fig. 11. Transitions from ramps to walks, gutters, or streets shall be flush and free of abrupt changes. Maximum slopes of adjoining gutters, road surface immediately adjacent to the curb ramp, or accessible route shall not exceed 1:20. The curb ramp located at the west parking area leading to the public sidewalk is damaged 8 does not provide a flush transition. • Page 2 May 8, 2002 VIOLATION 4.24 SINKS 4.24.2 Height Sinks shall be mounted with the counter or rim no higher than 34 in (865 mm) above the finish floor. The sinks located in the Jury Rooms #1 & #2 are located at 36". 4.24.5 Clear Floor Space A clear floor space at least 30 in by 48 in (760 mm by 1220 mm) complying with 4.2.4 shall be provided in front of a sink to allow forward approach. The sink in the break room located in the District Clerk's office has a refrigerator in the clear floor space. VIOLATION 4.27 CONTROLS 8 OPERATING MECHANISMS 4.27.4 Operation Controls and operating mechanisms shall be operable with one hand and shall not require tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. The faucets located in the Jury Rooms #1 & #2 have knob handles.
