In 1998 The City of Center Point executed a Deed conveying to Center Point Independent
School District that part of Avenue B that is indicated on the attached plat. Although in 1998, at the
time this Deed from The City of Center Point was executed, the County had ceded control of the
streets and roads in Center Point to the City, the underwriter for the title company feels that a
quitclaim deed from the County is a necessity in order for them to insure title. Accordingly, I am
requesting that the County execute a quitclaim conveying any interest it may have in this property
to CPISD.
