Dear Judge and Commissioners
We are please to offer quotes for renewal of the County's Law Enforcement; Liability
effective January 1, 2003. The quotes are through the CAN group of insurance
companies. Please note that two different forms are proposed and several combinations
of limits and deductibles.
The expiring policies are occurrence forms. Claims made policies usually have a
retroactive date. The proposed retroactive date for the claims made forms is January 1,
2003. Occurrence forms cover claims occurring during the policy period. Claims made
forms cover claims made during the policy period and after the retroactive date.
We also secured another quote on a claims made form with another carrier.) We are not
presenting this because the premium is significantly higher.
