Commissioner Pct. # 1 CEDAR ERADICATION A Component of Kerr County Water Conservation Policy PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS • Property owners will be eligible for aone-time $1.00 tax credit against their future Kerr Coun taxes for every $10.00 invested in Cedar Eradication, up to a maximum of $1,000.00, or the limit of a property owner's County tax liability (whichever is the lesser) in the year ollowin inspection and certification. • Application for participation in this program must be made through the Environmental Department at its office. • Personnel of the Environmental Department must make inspection. Upon completion of the inspection, the Environmental Department will certify to Ken County that the Cedar Eradication meets standards. • Each fiscal year. Kerr County will budget the maximum amount, i~' any, available for credits against Kerr County Taxes. Upon receipt of certification by inspecting agency, Kerr County will issue a credit for county taxes to the property owner in an amount consistent with the formula established above for the ensuing tax year following Cedar eradication; provided, however, that the aggregate amount o credits shall not exceed the amount included in that fiscal year budget. AnX quali~ing property owner that does not receive its appropriate tax credit in the year ollowing certification shall be eligible , or consideration in subsequent years.
