Agenda Item Backup Information Many governmental agencies in an effort to streamline business agendas now utilize the "Consent Agenda" method of disposing of routine business with one official action. This agenda item proposes that Kerr County Commissioners Court adopt this method of moving routine business in a timely manner. To do so, certain items that heretofore have been acted upon separately would be incorporated into one item for action. The following is sample language that would appear in conjunction with consent agenda items and illustrations of the types of agenda items that can be included therein. #2.0 Consent Agenda. Items on the Consent Agenda are considered as being of a routine nature and may require only limited discussion, if any. Any member of Commissioners Court may request that an item(s) be removed from the Consent Agenda, considered separately for the purpose of discussion, and voting. 1. Minutes of previous meetings. 2. County officials and department head reports. 3. Payment of bills as certified by the County Auditor 4. Budget line item changes as requested. 5. Overtime requests. 6. Resolutions. 7. Proclamations. 8. Equipment purchases not requiring a bid. Budgeted line item changes are verified by the Auditor to be within the elected official or department head's budget, and as such, do not increase the departmental budget. Other items that could be included are "Late Bills" requiring a hand check, if included within the appropriate budget.
