It's 1 o'clock. I'll call to order the -- the emergency meeting of the Commissioners Court posted for this date and time because of an unforeseen and unanticipated circumstance. There's one item on the agenda, and that being the consideration of -- of authorizing the funds for the postage for the mailing of 911 notice postcards to meet the critical deadline. Apparently, we had previously authorized the issuance of the notices on behalf of the Court, and we also committed to a deadline of sending these out on or about September 1, but apparently there's one gap in the middle; we never did throw out the money for the postage, and that's why we're here today, is my understanding. Is that correct, gentlemen? COMMISSIONER LETZ: That's correct. JUDGE TINLEY: Do I hear a motion to -- to authorize the expenditure of the sum of $2,715 for postage for those -- MR. TOMLINSON: 58. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: What is it? It says $2,715 on the agenda. It says $2,175 -- MS. PIEPER: But the agenda was a typo, as far as the amount. It should be -- MR. TOMLINSON: Should be $2,175.58. JUDGE TINLEY: I'm glad it was less, rather than more. That makes me more comfortable with it. The amount sought for postage, then, is not $2,715, but a lesser amount of $2,175; is that correct? MS. PIEPER: And 58 cents. MR. TOMLINSON: 58 cents. JUDGE TINLEY: And 58 cents. MR. TOMLINSON: Yes. JUDGE TINLEY: Okay. Do I hear a motion to authorize that expenditure? COMMISSIONER LETZ: So moved.
