Aell, M.D. Executive Deputy Commissioner Pat Tinley Kerr County Judge September 25, 2003 Dear Sir, Public Health Region 8 7430 Louis Pasteur Dr. San Antonio, TX 78229 Immunization Division (210) 949-2122 Fax: (210) 949-2038 The Texas Department of Health has been working with local health authorities in planning for an emergency response in the event of a disaster or biowarfare event. Some of those involved are Sid Peterson Hospital, Kerrville State Hospital, Veterans Administration Hospital, Kerrville Fire/EMS. We have been searching for a suitable site in the event that mass numbers of people would need to be vaccinated or given medications. We believe that our Kerr County Agricultural Barn would be our best location. We are asking permission to have it available, perhaps at a moments notice, for this purpose. If this is approved, we would like to have names and contact phone numbers, (day and night) of who to contact should this emergency arise and we need to enter the facility. Respectfully submitted, Martha Rodriguez, LVN Sherry Hayes, RN Texas Department of Health 819 Water, Ste. 290 Kerrville, Texas 78028
