to approve the adopting the Orders from TCDRS for participation in the supplemental
death benefits fund program effective January 1, 2004

Exhibit One
Commissioners Court Order Providing for Participation in the
Supplemental Death Benefits Fund Program Administered by TCDRS
(Section 842.004, Government Code) (Employees Only)
WHEREAS, the County is a participating subdivision in the Texas County and District
Retirement System (hereafter "System") under Subtitle F, Title 8, Government Code (hereafter "TCDRS
Act"); and
WHEREAS, the County may elect to participate in the Supplemental Death Benefits Fund program
administered by the System as prescribed in Section 842.004 of the TCDRS Act; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court has deternuned that it is in the public interest, as well as a
benefit to the employees of the County, that the County participate in the Supplemental Death Benefits Fund
program administered by the System; now, therefore, be it ORDERED, That:
1. The County hereby elects to participate in the Supplemental Death Benefits Fund
program administered by the System pursuant to the provisions of TCDRS Act, for the
purpose of providing in-service death benefits in the amounts and on the terms provided
for in the TCDRS Act for each of the County's employees who are members of said
System.
2. Participation of the County employees in the Supplemental Death Benefits Fund program
shall be effective on the first day of January 1 200 4 or such
subsequent date as maybe prescribed by the Board of Trustees of the System.
