Home, Texas; Mike Meadow, who is employed by Edgewater Care Center; and Laurie Meadow Wilson who is a school teacher at Ingram Elementary. • I have four grandchildren.: Two are in college; One is doing an apprenticeship; and 1 in high school Work history: • From 1972 to 1998 I was employed by Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital. • Fourteen years as nursing supervisor & assistant director of nurses and eleven years in Peterson Home Care as staff nurse and hospital liaison for home care of Medicare patients. Community and Volunteer work history: • In 1970 I was a member of Ingram Elementary PTA.. • From 1980 to 1995 I was the group facilitator for the American Cancer Society. • I was the secretary for the American Heart Association for several years. • I was a mentor at Ingram Elementary in 1999- 2001. • I am currently a nurse volunteer at Raphael free clinic. • I am a teacher and coordinator at Christian Woman's Job Corp. • I served many years as church pianist and Sunday school teacher. • I am a member of Cowboy Camp Meeting Ladies Auxiliary. I lived on four ranches just west of Uvalde until I left for college. I spent 1 1/2 yeazs at Texas ABtM , 1 yeaz at SWTJC, Then 2 years in the US Army and remainder of college at Southwest Texas State University in San Mazcos, Texas. While at SWT I received vazious awards: Outstanding Student in 1956, Captain of 1956 football team and. All- American in 1956. In 1983 I was installed in the "T" Association Hall of Honor. I worked for US Civil Service from 1961 to 1988 with 24 years being spent working for the US Air Force at Brooks and Lackland A F Bases . My job was in the Moral, Welfare and Recreation Division. At Brooks I was Youth Activities Director and then Chief Recreation Services. While at Lackland AFB , my last 10 years to work, I held several jobs: Youth Director for 1 year; Assistant Recreation Director 3 years (main duties were dvecting the Facilities Program of new and expanding present buildings, assisting in prepazing and monitoring a 13 -14 million dollar annual operating budget for the Division); The last six years I also developed a recreation camp on Medina Lake and continued to monitor the facilities program and budgeting. I retired in May of 1988 and my wife and I moved to our home in Mountain Home: - We aze members of western Hills Baptist Church where I serve as a Deacon. I was a member of the Mountain Home Volunteer Fire Department and served as secretary for a year. _ I've been a member of the Hill County Cowboy Camp Meeting Association since 1988. This is a method of serving the service area with charitable contributions obtained from rounding up the electrical bills of the customers when they sign up for the program. W~~II ~~T 1966-1999 Detroit Edison At Detroit Edison I started as an A.P.P.O in Trenton Channel Power Plant. The Operators in the Power Plants are the Industrial Fire Brigade. We were trained in Fire fighting each year with Dry Chemical and water. We were also trained in the use of Self contained Breathing apparatus . In the Four years at TCPP I moved from APPO to PPO and the to Senior Power Plant Operator. The primary duties of the operators in the power plants is to operate equipment such as pumps boilers , turbines ect. In 19701 Transferred to the New Monroe Power Plant . In 1971 I was promoted to the supervisor ranks . 1 was in supervision until I retired . In this capacity I served Supervising Operator ,Asst. Shift supervisor, and Training Coordinator. The Duties of These positions were the operation of the Power Plant . The Shift Supervisor is the Operating Authority in the Power Plant and has full responsibility for its operation . The Operating Authority is responsible for the generation of electrical power and its delivery to the transmission system .This include the fuel delivery and all items needed to generate the power. 1955-1966 Forth Worth & Deaver RR I was hired at Christmas Time in 1955 to help with the handling of the Christmas mail that then was shipped on the passenger trains. I stayed with this Comparry until Jan 1966. 1 worked as Mail and baggage handler , Clerk , Bill typeset, Ticket Clerk and various other duties.
