On Wednesday, December 10, 2003, at 4:30 p.m., an emergency
meeting of the Kerr County Commissioners Court was held in the
Commissioners' Courtroom, Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville,
Texas, and the following proceedings were had in open court:
P R O C E E D I N G S
JUDGE TINLEY: Let me call to order the
special emergency Commissioners Court meeting scheduled for
this date, Wednesday, December 10, at 4:30 p.m. It's a
couple of minutes after that right now. The item on the
agenda that I have is to consider and discuss burn ban for
Kerr County. Commissioner Nicholson, do you have something
you wish to offer on this?
COMMISSIONER NICHOLSON: I make a motion that
we impose a burn ban for Kerr County for 90 days, beginning
at 5 o'clock today, and that we give each individual County
Commissioner the authority to lift and/or reinstate the burn
ban as conditions warrant.
COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: I second that motion.
JUDGE TINLEY: Motion made and seconded to
reinstitute the burn ban effective at 5 p.m. today for a
period of 90 days, with each Commissioner to have the
authority to lift or reinstate, as conditions warrant, the
burn ban or not within that 90-day period. Any further
question or discussion on the motion? All in favor of the
motion, signify by raising your right hand.
