Agenda Item Backup Information The initial phase of the Kerrville South Wastewater Project is nearly completed with the exception of a few clean-up items, the streets for which we recently let a contract, and septic tank pumping and crushing and/or filling with sand or rock. Sufficient funds remain in this grant to take care of this remaining work. What then follows is the inspection of the pumped and crushed/filled septic tanks that have been taken out of service. I am advised this is a TCEQ requirement. Funding for inspections was not budgeted into this phase of the project because it was UGRA's intention to perform this service as an in-kind contribution to the project. That decision, of course, was made prior to the OSSF program being returned to Kerr County for administration. Inasmuch as Kerr County, to date, has made no in-kind contribution to the Kerrville South WW project, and since funding was not budgeted based on UGItA's prior in-kind pledge, I am requesting that Kerr County Commissioners' Court waive the $50 fee associated with each of these inspections. Miguel Arreola contacted me regarding this matter, and I suggested to him that his department proceed with paperwork and inspections, but not send out any invoices for inspection services as I intended to ask the Court to waive these fees. I would appreciate your support of this request.
