ORDER NO. 28600 AIRPORT FUNDING Came to be heard this the 12~' day of April 2004, with a motion made by Commissioner Letz, Seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved by a vote of 3-0-0 to authorize the Airport Manager to pursue funding avenues in order to proceed with identified airport capital improvements. The County & City intend to make improvements to the airport to better support the increased aircraft traffic and aircraft size. Infrastructure needs have been identified within the Kerr County/Kerrville Municipal Aimort Master Plan and Texas Airport System Plan. The County and City have prioritized a comprehensive list to meet current and future demand. An outline of the proiects needing immediate action is listed in priority order It is requested that the Aimort Manager pursue all avenues to acquire funding needed to accomplish the listed capital projects 1) Obtain Modification to Airport Design Standards or fundine to correct deficiencies identified on the Aimort Layout Plan concerning highway penetration with airport safe and approach areas. Modification to Design Standards or any actions taken must be to the level that will accommodate a precision approach into the Kerrville 2) Relocate the parallel taxiway for runway 12/30. Pursue having the design and construction to runway strength so that it maybe used as a visual runway when main runway is closed for extended periods of time. This project will include land purchases, relocation of an existing_patio hangar and drainage. Additionally, the relocation of Mooney Road needs to be included in this project. It is requested that design and land purchases be accomplished no later that FY 2005 and construction no later than FY 2006. 3) Design and construct MALSR luting to runway 30 and 12. That the following list, as recommended by the Airport Manager, represents, in the order presented, the infrastructure priorities for the Kerrville/Kerr County Municipal: 1) Modify the Airport Design Standards to correct deficiencies identified in the Airport Layout Plan regarding highway encroachment into Airport property. 2) Relocate parallel taxiway for runway 12/30. 3) Design, construct and install MALSR lighting to runways 30 and 12. SECTION TWO. That the Airport Manager shall pursue all avenues to acquire the necessary funding for those projects listed in Section One, above.
