Agenda Item Backup Material All too often documents that are approved and signed by either the County Judge or all members of Commissioners' Court are returned to the County Clerk's office without any consideration of whether or not a covering document should be developed and included. I believe we need a procedure in place that satisfies the law with respect the County Clerk's responsibilities while allowing for documents that originate in Commissioners' Court to be forwarded to the intended recipient from Commissioners' Court with an appropriate covering document. This will also enable the Administrative Assistant to maintain a complete record of all such documents that originate from Commissioners' Court.
