Agenda Item Backus Statement The Court has discussed an audit of the Kerr County Juvenile Detention Facility on several occasions in recent weeks. We asked the County Auditor to provide an estimate of cost conduct an in-depth audit for the years 2002, 2003 and 2004. Mr. Tomlinson indicated a less costly option to accomplish this would be to expand the scope of the current engagement ofPressler-Thompson & Company who is currently conducting the annual audit of Kerr County rather than retain another independent audit firm. By Court time on 2/14, Commissioner Baldwin and I will have met with a principal ofPressler-Thompson to discuss this matter, and should have information and estimated costs to share with members of the Court.
