We have been in this office for about 7 years and consistently the roof and back wall have leaked. In the last two years the problem has increased to the point of destroying our property and creating a health and safety hazard. The back storage room leaks in many different places. Every time it rains water pours in through the roof in so many places I cannot supply enough tubs to contain the water. Further, water routinely leaks under the back wall and inundates the room. In November, I fell as a result of having to walk through the puddle. The tax office clerk has to walk through the puddle to use the restroom for several days after every rain. In our restroom, both the employees and public have to stand in water while using the facility. Many ceiling tiles have been replaced and many more are in need. Water just came through a new leak in the office area and flowed through the fax machine. I have spoken with the landlord and he has guaranteed on many occasions to fin the building but has reneged on every promise. I suggested several alternatives and he has refused. It is time to move. With the help of Maintenance Supervisor Glenn Holekamp (who has been the county liaison for this property) and Commission Nicholson, we have attempted to find any proper facility that would be compatible and available. It is my understanding that Paula Rector has objected prior to us even being able to find a place to move. She has not contacted me personally. With this in mind I request that the Court allow me to look on my own for a place to move my office. I have found two that possible could fit my needs. This situation is untenable and is not acceptable by me any further. ,~ync+n 'N~ sn ~9 ~ fi~ ~~IS ~~ .~ tistiti ,,,~'~~,,,15 yr ~" ~ ~T a T o. ~~~ ~` n ~~ s~~v~ ,4l ~~ ~, ~,sy~- a~ .~~ ,vs
