Subdivision Workshop Apri125, 2005 The current Kerr County Subdivision Rules and Regulations were adopted when the county had a county engineer. The reason for this workshop is to determine what adjustments to the process should be made to the current rules to accommodate this change. Other areas concerning the subdivision platting process should also be discussed so any changes can be added to the new subdivision rules. Some topics and questions I have identified are as follows: 1. Concept Plans and original contact by a potential developer. Is the current process working properly ? 2. Coordination between the Commissioner and Road and Bridge Department concerning subdivisions and the platting process. 3. Required certifications on the final plat. Do we need all of the current certifications on the final plat ? 4. Revision of Plat currently requires submission of subdivision covenants and restrictions. Do we want to continue this requirement ? 5. Should Revision of Plat be treated any differently than a new subdivision plat the platting process ? 6. When, if ever, do we need to hire a consulting engineer and what process do we use to hire this engineer. 7. Alternate plat approval process. Is the alternate platting process helpful and should we continue to use it ? 8. Potential illegal subdivisions and how should we handle these situations. 9. How is the subdivision inspection process working ?
