Came to be heard this the 9"' day of May 2005, with a motion made by Commissioner
Williams, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin. The Court unanimously approved by
vote of 4-0-0 to contract with Time Warner for Broadband Services for the Courthouse in
conjunction with the Law Enforcement Center and authorizes the Judge to sign.

Information Technology Plan
for
Broadband
May 2005
A need exists for additional broadband connections to the Internet and between
county and district offices. In the effort to save money county wide I have
determined that the Sheriffl Office and the Courthouse add broadband services
from Time Warner Cable.
At the Jail this will provide:
• Redundant Connectivity to the TSG server. Currently this is a single point of
failure that disconnects the county from the jail, including dispatch.
• Eliminate the $2300/year cost of a special connection to DPS
• Provide MHMR with video teleconferencing to the inmate library. Equipment is
in place but not being used because of the lack of bandwidth and an IP
address.
• Provide a secure connection to meet the requirements of DPS for additional
TLETS licenses.
For the Courthouse this will provide:
• Access for the District Attorney' offices with a secure connection to ableterm
and the county network for viewing images and mugshots.
• Annex tax office and JP4 high speed connection to the county network and
Internet access.
• Future video teleconferencing.
