On this the 13`h day of June 2005, upon motion made by Commissioner Letz, seconded
by Commissioner Nicholson, the Court unanimously approved by a vote of 4-0-0, to
have the Information Technology Office to conduct a review of all County Offices in
reference to technology efficiency.

John Trolinger has been Manager of the Information Technology
Department for several months and has had time to review the overall
technology situation in all departments.
In recent years the taxpayers have funded a major expansion in technology
equipment with the idea of improving efficiency. I think it would be helpful
to direct Mr. Trolinger to specifically review the technology in each
department and report back to the Commissioners Court what could be done,
if anything, to improve efficiency in each department by better utilizing
technology.
We are about to begin our budget workshops and this information would be
very helpful to have at those workshops.
