We are requesting an exception to our policy in this case since the 30-day enrollment period has passed. Braden was covered under his mother's insurance, Blue Cross/Blue w.. Shield, for the first 31 days. Under her policy, she was allowed another 30 days to cover their baby either under her insurance, or choose another insurance. They did not realize they could not cover Braden under Kevin's insurance (after that time-frame) because the 30-day enrollment period had passed. This was an honest misunderstanding, and they would like to have Braden covered under Mutual of Omaha. We are asking that you please grant the exception and allow coverage for Braden. If you have any questions, or if we need to provide additional information, please advise. Sincerely, Barbara Nemec Kerr County Treasurer BN:jc Enclosures cc: Michelle Burnett, Wallace & Associates
