County Judge & Commissioners:
Attached is the documentation sent to TCDRS asking for a waiver of the late
fee. I have had health problems and have been under doctor's care with
several procedures being performed in order to determine a diagnosis. My
doctor is in the process of sending TCDRS a letter since they did not grant
the exception with the letter Judy sent.
In the meantime I feel we should send in the late fee so that we don't accrue
any further interest.

Deaz Jennifer:
Our office has received a fax notifying us that the April 2005 report had not been
received by the due date, and that we will be chazged a penalty. I faxed the report to
Mary Samuels prior to getting your fax, and although the report was late, I ask that you
please waive the penalty.
~~ Barbara Nemec, our County Treasurer, has been out very ill, and I have been filling in for
her, as I am able - I started in this department January 2005. Any considerations will be
greatly appreciated.

Re: Request for Exemption from Late Reporting Penalty
Dear Ms. Carr:
Your letter dated May 17, 2005, requesting an exemption from the late reporting penalty relating to Kerr
County's April 2005 deposit report has been received. I have reviewed the facts and circumstances
presented in the letter and under TCDRS governing law find no provision for an exemption in this specific
case. If T®RS receroes a report after the due date, ttnless sent to T®RS under one of the provisions of
section 845.407 (c), governing law requires the penalty to be assessed.
TCDRS can accept monthlyxt ports filed byfas, email ur FileSafe. These processes pros>ide filing options that
can extend the time }'t?u have to prepare wur report and still allow for filing bythe due date. For information
