A recent incident which required the necessity that information be obtained from the Internal Revenue Service indicated that Kerr County has only one individual authorized to obtain information from the IRS or otherwise deal with IRS. I have discussed with the Auditor the possible need that other persons would have need to obtain such information or discuss matters with the IRS. The Auditor suggested the persons who would have such a need would include the County Treasurer, County Auditor and the Members of the Commissioners' Court. This can be accomplished by the filing of a declazation or designation of those persons on a form and filing the form with the IRS.
