The EIC believes this to be a worthwhile project and has set a public hearing for July 18, 2005, where it will then consider the formal approval and Funding in the amount of $200,000.00 for this project. The funding cycle would be a disbursement of $100,000.00 in the FY04-OS budget and $100,000.00 in the FY05-06 budget. Pursuant to the Development Corporation Act of 1979 (See Section 23(a)(1) of the Texas Revised City Statutes Article 5190.6), the EIC may undertake a project outside the City's limits with permission of the County Commissioners Court. Thus, I am asking that this issue be placed on your July 11th meeting agenda for consideration and approval. I will make a brief presentation of the project and answer any questions that you may have.
