Notice of Public Hearing on
Tax Increase
Last year, the Kerr County property tax rate
was $0.372100. That rate raised
$7,223,995, a portion of which was used to
fund operations such as:
Administration of Justice, Public Safety,
Corrections, Health and Human Services,
Community and Economic Development,
Infrastructure and Environmental, Interest
on Long Term Debt, Administration
This year, Kerr County is proposing a prop-
erty tax rate of $0.389600. That rate would
raise $8,535,610, which is $1,311,615 more
than taxes imposed fast year.
There will be two public hearings to consid-
erthat increase. The first public hearing will
be held on September 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM
at Commissioners Courtroom, Kerr County
Courthouse, 700 Main St. Kerrville, Tx.; The
second hearing will be held on September
23, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Commissioners
Courtroom, Kerr County Courthouse, 700
Main St. Kerrville,. Tx..
