We have one man out with an emergency appendeximy, One retiree, Archie Koennecke, Doug's dad passed away Aug. 18"'. We had one insurance incident reported in the last two months and that was gravel coming under the tailgate of a dump truck and damaging a caz. With the new law that went into effect Sept 1, some of our employees were concerned about tarping our dump trucks. L I called DPS and talked with Travis Hall and he didn't have a definitive answer un61 he goes to class for interpretation of the law (within the next two weeks). 2. I visited with Mindy for insurance purposes and she contacted TAC, their legal said we were exempt from the law because our truck are not commercial. 3. I priced having the tarps installed on our trucks and it would cost us approximately $1,000 per truck and we have 11 trucks that do not have the tarps. Some of our larger trucks came with the tarps. After we hear from Travis Hall, we may need to come back to you for approval to purchase the tarps out of the OS-06 Budget. Even though we had some close calls while paving Ranchero with the help of the Constables one day and the Sheriff s departrnent the second day everything went pretty smoothly. We had one man on Goat Creek Cut-off threaten to shoot a R&B employees if we touched his driveway. Once again the Sheriff s department came to the rescue.
