Information Technology Bi-monthly Report for September 12 2005 -November 14 2005 Replaced eight depreciated and installed one new computer at the courthouse. Responded to an average of one 'work-stoppage' call per day. Responded to an average of five 'calls for service' per day. . Tax, Courts, and Financial software upgrade is in the planning and database conversion stage. oice over IP long distance service using the new Time Warner cable modem is in place for several users at the courthouse and . the 198`h DA at the sheriffs office. Contract is pending. . Installed network firewalls at the West Kerr Annex and Ingram City Marshal's offices. Re-built the network equipment closet at the Sheriff's office. --yj Converted Adult Probation from a dedicated, slow-speed, connection to a secure high-speed Internet connection to the courthouse. New capabilties and future growth are now possible. Conducted forensics analysis of two computers at the request of CID. ~. Installed a file server for backup of the desktop computers in the courthouse. • Completed the JP4 conversion from astand-alone database to the County system visa $15,000 grant from DPS for electronic reporting. Over 33,000 case files and person records were assimilated. Kerr County now has an integrated database of criminal and civil cases. This was a significant step in the upgrade to Odyssey. Judge Ragesdale's office, the Justices of the Peace, and most certainly the Warrants Division of the Sheriffs Office should be commended for this milestone. Met with City of Kerrville ~T department and established an informal agreement for mutuaTcomputer support and network interfacing. Conducted routine and annual maintenance of the county databases. Hours per week required = 18. Hours worked during this period were 513 averaging 64 hours per week. I have taken comp time during the work week for extra- curricular activities to make up the overtime. Community service worker time 16 hours. Road & Bridge Bi Monthly Report November 10, 2005 Road Projects: Seal Coat: Nimitz and Skyview in Pct. 4 are the only roads on our 04-OS Seal Coat List that were not completed; they will be the first on our list for next yeaz. The sales representative for Ergon called on us last week and expects the cost of paving oil to increase 24 cents next year. If that is the case, we will be $32,000.00 short. Flasher should have striped Canyon Springs last Friday while we were off.
